The Challenge

“Our staff are our most vital asset and, given the global nature of recruitment, we need to present a consistent image around the globe.”

Logica, leading global provider in the IT industry, wanted an e-Learning induction solution to introduce essential information about the company and its working practices to new recruits and existing staff, and which would impress potential employees too. Specific requirements included:

  • a memorable package incorporating all existing induction materials to support an integrated approach to induction throughout Logica’s worldwide operations
  • a creative and highly stimulating presentation interface to introduce Logica’s structure, history, ethos, and future strategy
  • a technology-led vehicle to impress employees and reflect Logica as a leading organisation in its field - one that potential employees would be excited about joining.

Bourne's Solution

Bourne produced an interactive solution for delivery over the company Intranet or via CD-ROM for worldwide distribution to a diverse audience. This was achieved through:

  • multiple free-access sections covering Logica’s mission, company history, the nature and scope of their activities and the future direction of their business
  • extensive use of high quality graphics, audio and animation
  • minimising the use of text and including intuitive, web-style features
  • extensive interaction and user-led navigation
  • an attention-grabbing interface to entice the user through the presentation, and depth of content that provided a broader understanding of all aspects of the Logica business.
